FAQ

About the speed test

What does this speed test measure?
It runs Google Lighthouse through the PageSpeed Insights API and reports performance, accessibility, best-practice and SEO scores, the main lab metrics (LCP, CLS, TBT, FCP, Speed Index, server response time) and real-user Core Web Vitals when Google has enough data for the page.
What is a good score?
90 or above is good, 50–89 needs improvement and below 50 is poor. For Core Web Vitals, aim for LCP under 2.5 seconds, INP under 200 milliseconds and CLS under 0.1.
Why do my results change between runs?
Lab tests vary with server load, network conditions and third-party scripts. Run the test two or three times and compare trends rather than single numbers. Results are cached for 24 hours per URL and device.
Is the test really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up. If you want an engineer to review the results and send a prioritised fix list, leave your email after the test.
